Devlog #13: Return from Hiatus
Greetings and salutations!
Battle Succubi is back after a hiatus that was a bit longer than I expected. I have been at work adding some tweaks to the status effect system, and I have got an almost completely working version of the new animation system up.
Some pieces are the same as the old version. There are still toggles for active/passive, depth control, etc. The new pieces are the flexibility for adding and removing participants to the pose, and the control of sex sites per participant. Suppose you have a threesome pose like the one below.
The male has two sites occupied: his mouth and his penis, and they are occupied by different characters. In the old system, there was no way to capture this in code. Another change is in the dynamic number of clips and the style of transitions. In the old system, I only used state machines, but in the new system, I can choose between blend trees and state machines, and I can control the number of clips. In the sex pose above, there is only one clip, but now I can have up to four clips to blend or transition between. This means as the intensity builds (as the participants get closer to orgasm), the participants will transition through the different animations.
There are a number of national holidays coming up where I live, and the plan is to go back and begin testing the system before uploading a new version. I hope to have a new version up by May 7th.
