Devlog #21: Unity Shenanigans

Greetings and salutations,

My new PC has finally arrived, and I've been able to safely migrate my project files over from the old HDDs and SSDs. I've been putting in a lot of hours trying to develop the new animations and to make a tutorial system to onboard players more smoothly.

That said, as I'm sure many of you are aware, Unity has made their usual smooth announcements regarding pricing and the public has reacted highly negatively. Many of my fellow game developers, while still using Unity, have taken an increased interest in Unreal Engine, and I've been trying it out with some small projects myself. While far from perfect, it has been an interesting experience coming back to C++ and Unreal after a gap of 7 years. Unity has since reversed their...questionable...decisions, and the pricing policy has basically no effect on me, as I make peanuts from this project. Still, I'm taking this opportunity to branch out and try Unreal for a bit.  Whatever I develop there will be released on this itch.io account when it is ready.

Because of that, there will not be a new version of Battle Succubi this month, but I do expect to have one up within the next few weeks, hopefully by October 13th.

Thank you for your patience.
